A Model railway exhibition with something for everyone. 

This popular friendly show welcomes enthusiasts and beginners alike and provides a wide range of interests the exhibition will have 11 layouts of various scales; a well-equipped stand from local retailer Kent Garden Railways; the ODMRS second-hand stall; a children's drive it yourself layout : modelling demonstrations and an 'OO' loco clinic for your non-runners.

Happy New Year to you all. 

A brief update to publicise the first few Open Days scheduled for the HRM Club during 2017, there's usually an open day every couple of months but will post regularly on here or view their website above and check the Events page. 

These are usually quite popular and I certainly hope to make as many visits as I can with some of my late fathers models to give them a decent run, the banter, expertise and refreshments make it a very enjoyable day. 

18 February	Test Track Open Day (confirmed)
8 April	Test Track Open Day (to be confirmed)
10 June	Test Track Open Day (to be confirmed)

The first confirmed date for the hall is on Saturday 18th February, doors will open to the public around 10am, there will be tea, coffee and bacon rolls on offer too. I will aim to have this blog updated with more details in time for each open day and all being well I attend several of them with my fathers trains to give them a run so some new pictures will be published too.

* the entrance is at the side of the church down a path and the doors at the end should be open, don't try and enter the main doors of the church. 

A few pictures from some of last years Open Days, though they mostly focus on the O Gauge track there are also Test Tracks available for OO and N Gauge too. There are many members on hand too and extremely friendly and knowledgeable too so if you have any problems with modelling or questions they will be more than happy to try and help i am sure.

Welcome to 2017

I trust that you all enjoyed a peaceful Christmas and celebrated with your family and loved ones. It's now time to put the past away (since 2016 has been a bit pants to say the least) and now move onward, lets start 2017 in a really good way, being happy, smiling more, and doing positive activities that will make the year more enjoyable. 




We did manage a few things though looking back a little especially the days out on the railways and the open days with the Hillingdon Railway Modellers which are always a good day out. 

There will be plenty more of this to look ahead to in the next twelve months, overdue trips to York and North Wales with possible long weekends away to Swanage when they open their Main Line connection at Wareham. 

Lets make a start the New Year well and in good spirits, 2017 can only be as good as YOU make it.
