THE BRISTOL DOCKER RAILTOUR -- 4th MARCH 2017

Saturday 4th March, 2017

THE BRISTOL DOCKER RAILTOUR

A COMPREHENSIVE TOUR OF FREIGHT ONLY LINES IN AND AROUND THE PORT OF BRISTOL, ALONG WITH A VISIT  INTO A NEW REVERSING FACILITY CLOSE TO THE SOUTHERN SHORE OF THE SEVERN ESTUARY.

Join us as we explore a number of secondary and freight routes in the greater Bristol area, including rare locomotive haulage over the Clifton Extension Railway, the Henbury Loop, both terminals at Portbury Dock and an incursion into Avonmouth Docks. The recently built run round facility (built for the new Severnside Energy Recovery Centre traffic), should also feature.

Our special thanks go to the Bristol Port Company for agreeing to this visit. A sizeable donation will be made to their suggested charity to mark our appreciation.

The days routing as requested and submitted to Network Rail, beyond that of the last pick up at Bristol Parkway is:
