LETS HAVE A DAY OUT TO THE BLUEBELL ...

PLANNING A DAY OUT TO THE BLUEBELL HERITAGE RAILWAY IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS. IT'S SOMEWHERE I'VE NOT BEEN FOR SOME TIME, IN FACT IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO GO THERE BY TRAIN TO EAST GRINSTEAD AND TRAVEL THE WHOLE ROUTE TO SHEFFIELD PARK AND BACK DURING THE DAY.

WILL BE SURE TO TAKE PLENTY OF PICTURES AROUND THE PLACE, I HOPE TO SEE STEPNEY AND FENCHURCH WHO I BELIEVE HAVE BEEN REPAINTED BACK TO THEIR STROUDLY COLOURS AND LOOKING SPLENDID.

PRAYING FOR A SUNNY DAY AND PLENTY OF ACTION ON ONE OF THE MOST IMPRESSIVE EXAMPLES OF A HERITAGE RAILWAY YOU WILL FIND.

FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY ...
(BUT IF YOU GOT SCREAMING KIDS DON'T GET IN MY CARRIAGE OK).

NORTH NORFOLK RAILWAY SUMMER DIESEL GALA

This weekend is the popular Diesel Gala on the North Norfolk Railway. An event of interest now that they have the option of bringing in guest locomotives via their rarely used Level Crossing link at Sheringham.

Over three days, you can be sure of a great day out on the NNR, with classic 1960s locomotive hard at work between Sheringham and Holt. It's a lovely part of the world to visit anyway, I remember some great times in Norfolk enjoying holidays in Cromer, Great Yarmouth and of course messing about on the Broads.
