After a delightful ride of 40 mins behind the S15 class we slowly arrived into our final destination of Sheffield Park. Here we should have had time to have a browse around the station and locomotive yard but this was our second disappointment of the day as it was closed for refurbishment of the roof.

So my time was spent walking around the station getting as many pictures as I could of the static loco's and carriage stock on show. The Pullman dining coach was only just able to fit into it's bay platform you will by the photo below that it's loco was up to the buffers, why didn't they use a smaller loco to shunt it in?

Managed to get up on the footbridge for some good pictures of the end of the line and the "Wealdon Rambler" Coaches ready for their next turn of duty on the weekend.

Was delighted to be allowed inside the signal box on the station platform and get a few pictures of the interior diagrams, levers and displays.

A final few images and notes from the journey home, included a nice atmospheric picture from within Sharpthorne Tunnel and the overgrown platforms at West Hoathly station.
